This is the 49ers year!
Re: Andre... He did that to tick off the Texan's brass. I have no doubt. He wasn't happy with the firing of Kubiak (and that had to happen, guys and gals, he'd run his course) and then he wasn't happy with the way that O'Brien was going to run things. This is a bit of revenge, pure and simple. Vengeful.
And rightly so. I mean... 'reduced role'? Seriously O'Brien?! He's only your number one receiver... USE HIM.
Which is what I thought of O'Brien when he came in... running more. Passing less. And you watch, the draft and free agency is going to show that. I mean, the QB situation is pretty much showing that now.
Still, the simmering pot that is Andre Johnson has popped the lid like I had a feeling it would. And that's ok. But he is a sulky one that. Treat him right, Indy, and he'll be awesome as all get out. He's a team player, but only if the team will play him.
I get why he wanted out, but I know he could have gone to somewhere else... anywhere else... but the same division? Ugh.
At least he's not a Titan. That I could never forgive. Still, gonna be weird and difficult to see him as a Colt.
Should help them out a lot though.
Texans are so messed up right now... Rick Smith needs to GO already. McNair is too buddy buddy nice guy. Hoyer? Really guys? You should have kept Keenum and saved at least 1/2 the money in doing so. I mean, dude comes in last couple of games and looks at least every bit the backup quarterback and won! In a system he wasn't trained in!
That is anything but unimpressive, ya ask me. That's a good quarterback to keep. Why the Texans kept toying with him like they have, I don't know... and now, he's back in St. Louis, where they got him from after O'Brien/Smith let him go last year, but hey, they got a whole *7th* round pick...
Insulting. I hope Keenum becomes a freaking star and hurts the Texans every time he shows up for that. I honestly do. It'll get the Texans to realize that someone has to be let go.
Put on the black hat, Bob. It's just business and you did it for Kubiak. Time to do it for Smith. Beyond time.
The hell is WRONG with the Texans...

I agree with everything you said. O'Brien is f---ing up big time. Quarterback situation is dismal at best. O'Brien is a wannabe Bill Belicheck. I've been watching the Texans since '02. Its the best exercise in futility I've ever found! The players like Andre Johnson, Matt Schaub (when he was halfway decent), Mario Williams, Arian Foster, Brian Cushing, and JJ Watt are the reasons why I watch the team. But dang, they just can't get it together. A big part of that has to do with playing in the same division as the Colts though
1. Andre Johnson can't keep his hamstrings from popping every five minutes. I doubt he'll be as much of an impact player as he's being made out to be. Yes, he'll be good when he's on the field--which might be half the season. Once you injure a hammy, they're never really well ever again. He's on the down side of his career as well.
2. If anyone believes Dallas didn't let Murray go willingly, I've got some oceanfront property in Arizona you'd love to buy from me.
3. Andy Reid is going to look like a genius after Kelly is through running the iggles into the ground. **** that fat boy for turning MY BEST PLAYER LeSean McCoy into a platoon RB last year. That ****ing dip****. He belongs in college losing to SEC teams in bowl and title games.

$8.2m a year for a guy who had oke good year is just nuts
You can get the same production from two kids for a quarter of the price and pay the road graters to open up those huge holes I could run through.
I wish him the best but hope they lose of course. Running backs are almost plug and play nowadays. Sure they need speed and talent and vision and stretchy but there's always young legs available in the draft. Hell he had third round talent in the draft.
