What I don't like about them is that they score 1 goal and then they don't even attack in the rest of the game.

Remember game against Paraguay, 1st England's game? One of the most boring games I ever saw.

the Australians were robbed. That ref needs to be reprimanded. He had the perfect view of that incident, and still got it woefully wrong.

Do you guys think that maybe there should be another ref on the field that could also make calls, other than the line judges?
Basketball has two refs, and it works perfect... If there is a questionable call, they get together and talk it out. And the overturn the call, if need be.

Ditto.. maybe part of the blame can be accounted to FIFA wanting the Refs to be stricter, but a lot of the blame has to go straight to the refs.

Horrendous!

Shame it was the most dull world cup match I have ever watched.

Even the penalty shootout was boring

Dull, Dull, Dull (Ukraine have really got to up their game, or Italy are going to walk all over them!)

One bit of trivia though, Ukraine are, so far, the only team to advance to the qf's who finished second in their group, all the other quarter finalists so far were the winners of their group. There is hope for Ghana yet!!!

and another piece of trivia, Switzerland are the first team in the history of the world cup to be eliminated from the competition without conceding a single goal (penalties shootouts do not count at they are after the game has ended).

Also Switzerland are the only team to ever miss all of their penalties, but these were the first penalties that Switzerland have ever taken in all of their 26 world cup competition games (normal time or shootouts)

Interesting (shame the game wasn't...)

I watched the Brazil Ghana game and all I can say it that Ghana outplayed Brazil the whole game. It's a shame they didn't pull off the upset but the ref's screwed stuff up in that game again as well.

Oh well I'll have to root for Germany since I do have German ancestery. Go Germany!!!!!!!! We have good beer too!

IMO, it seemed like Brazil wasnt worried at all about Ghana... they did get close to scoring, but it didnt seem to phaze Brazil.
