Who's Waiting for a Cobra?
Hey Folks,
Just wondering how many of you are buying an '05 GT and how many, like myself, are waiting, as painful as it may be, for a SE or Cobra? The way I see it, the extra waiting time allows me to save a a nice, fat, down payment. I figure I can save up to 20K - 25K until they actually release the next model. That way, my payments will be very manageable.

:raises hand:
I am, by then my car will be paid off and I should have a truck for daily driving. Then I will more than likely try and get one.

Depends on my financial situation. In a perfect world, I would have a 2005+ Cobra or SE coupe for daily driving and a classic red <1969 V-8 convertible for sunny weekends. Whatever the situation, I will always have a convertible. That probably means a Torch Red 2006+ GT ragtop with red interior for me.

I am planning to buy a 2009 S197 SVT Mustang convertible or 2009 E94 M4 convertible for my next car. I am closely watch developments on both.

Exactly how are you closely watching developments on these? We have almost zero concrete info on the '06 Stangs, let alone '09's. Maybe I'm really tired and this was a joke?

For a comparison, I have been following the development of the S197 stang since 1999. FWIW, I knew about the 3V motors back then because my father was working on them (now retired). I acurately predicted that the S197 GT would get a 3V 4.6L way back around 2000.
BTW, here is a CGI picture, from a source with a fairly good track record for nailing these sort of things, of what the M4 coupe *might* look like:

So yeah anyway I'm watching this stuff darn closely.
