Who is going to buy the Shelby?
I would get the 07 but thats the year I graduate high school and start college and I deffinatley wont have the money to pay for it then.So I'm already saving up and by 08 or 09 it will be in the garage.

I can't image what your insurace rates would be.

I would love to get one, but the logical side of my brain keeps winning the argument so far (could have a nice GT vert AND a daily driver for the price of the Shelby). If it ever gets to the point where they are actually in dealerships and can be bought instead of waiting months/ years, I would probably not be able to resist at that point

I'm going to get mine around my birthday in 2007. I'm not worried about getting into a list because I'm sure Galpin Ford will have them in stock.

If the GT500 goes on sale in mid 2006, I think they should have the car on the lot in about 5 to 6 months. They are the largest Ford dealer, they are always the first ones to get the cars. The Ford GT's are limited production also & they had a pretty good amount of them, they sold the first Ford GT to Jay Leno. In 2003 they had the back full of SVT Mustang Cobras.

Perhaps, obviously time will tell. I know they'll at least have one more available for sale if they try to charge more than MSRP for them when they hit the lots. Hopefully they won't, though, and I'll be able to get mine.

I want one really bad, I already graduated HS and graduate from UTI on Oct 06, so hopefully I can swing one by 09 or a bit later. If it's a limited run, I'd just get whatever top SE the may have thats below 50.
Gotta work hard now to make it all work smoothly later.

I am. I plan to get one early on. I don't have be the first one on the block to get one, but, I will have been waiting 3 years when they come out. I am way overdue for hot car.
