Were the Shelby concept's stripes painted?

Any of you folks who saw the car up close and personal take a good look at the stripes? Were they painted on or did they do decals? If they were painted how did they look in person?

I hoped they're painted on the production model though!

Why? Have you seen the painted stripes on the Ford GT. I have, and the first time I saw them I thought they were vinyl, because there is a definite lip on the surface. You would think Ford would take the time to do it right when the stripes on the GT are a $5k option and try and blend them into the base paint? If they are painted, we will not order it with that option and take to a vinyl house here in Phoenix to get the stripes put on, depending on the price.

Ummmmm, I had the stripes painted on my '67 GT350. There will always be ridges when you paint. And another thing, these are not easy to paint!

$5k is steep, though...

My understanding though is that they can take the time to wet sand the edges to blend into the paint and then put the clear coat on top of them to help minimize the edges. One thing though, vinyl would be a pain to put on the front of the GT because of the shape of the two ducts.

That's why you have to get all your ducts lined up before you start.
