There are two 2005 Saleen Mustangs at Adamson Ford in downtown Birmingham.

If you want to buy one of them or any other vehicle, call Danny Barnett (no relation) at (205) 271-4700, and tell him Brad from The Mustang Source referred you.

Very sweet, especially the black one. I just remembered about the placement of the Saleen serial # badge. Its almost unrecognizable when you first get in the '05. I completely overlooked it in the photos I took and did not catch it until we took it out for some :drive:

I saw my first Saleen today. It looked just like the red one in the pics (except it was #67 ). I must say, they're far better looking in person than in pics. I was very impressed and I loved the seats.

While I was looking at it, a man in his seventies wearing a Corvette baseball cap came in and started look at it. Then a couple of guys in their thirties came in followed by a couple of guys in their twenties. I'm 40 so I'd say that was a pretty good age spread! The Mustang is definitely a car for all ages!

There is a ford dealer ship near my house that has two. The other day my father and I went to have a peak. I was actually dissapointed with the saleen's they had there granted they were only the 281's not the s281 which have the supercharger in them.

the dealership was asking about $42 grand for each of them and they only have 325 hp.

Not so sure I like the body kit's on them either, the tail end looks horrible, defenitly takes away from the retro look of the car IMO.

Personally I would rather pay $25 grand for a GT and spend the other $15 grand on aftermarket parts that would blow the saleen away.

Oh and one final thing, those wheels make me want to puke!

A few things, first how do the wheels look like rice since most rice have 17"-18" wheels on there rice vehicles and these wheels are 20"?

The body comes from the S7 Super Car they build. If you take a look at a pic of the S7 and then the '05 Saleen S-281, they have alot of similar lines. I think the Saleen makes the base car look just that... a base car.
