SVT/STEEDA Tech Day
272rwhp. Assuming it was a manual and that it was a dynojet then that would work out to approx 313 hp at the flywheel (13 hp over advertised #s).
Just for comparison, when I was considering buying an 04 Mach 1, I built a spreadsheet to keep track of all the dyno test of the 03 and 04 Mach 1s. The 19 different rwhp #s ranged from 259.3 to 289 with an average of 274rwhp.
In a Dec 02 Car&Driver test, the Mach 1 weighed 3471lbs. Feb 04 MotorTrend lists the 05 GT at 3425lbs.
So based on this one data point (excludes the impact of ramair from the equation), it looks like the 05 GT will be comparable to the 03-04 Mach 1 in the 0-60 an 1/4 mile department.
i.e. 0-60 in 5.25 seconds and 1/4 mile in 13.9.
Not bad

However, 13.9 in the quarter isn't Mach 1 fast?? Usually run faster than that.

I'm refering to when the MotorTrend and Car&Driver drivers test the car. Not when 5.0 Mustang magazine tests it

Roger,
I was simply using the rwhp and weight similarities between the 03/04 Mach 1 and 05 GT' to make an estimate of the 05GT's 0-60 and 1/4 mile times.
I have no desire to restart some 05 vs Mach 1 issue.
I settled this issue in my own mind last December when I decided not to purchase a Mach 1 after seeing the 05 GT.
