The pics you showed above of deep dish aren't what I'd call deep dish. I'm refering to the one's with the flat wide polished lip.
The Eleanor side mirrors are stock Shelby mirrors, BTW.
We'll just have to disagree on the gas cap because I don't consider the old school cap big. ( I had a '65 fastback for 16 years and the gas cap was one of my favorite design cues) I love that Shelby though. That Dark Ivey Green is my favorite 65/66 color.
I've always prefered the '66 Shelby grille over the stock '66 grille, but I that's because I think it doesn't look right with just the corral. Again, I'm partial to the '65. That's mine in the pic.

nice car....
on the gas cap I was refering to its size in relation to the height of the rear end where it is located like I said....the old ones take up pretty much the whole hieght of the allotted space, now the space is smaller on those than the 05 but this is why I think it would look too small here....
not to be a jerk but the mirrors dont look too standard....
and it appears as though they only came on the drivers side
I like the other grill more as well but it is coming on the 06 V6 so I think the idea here is something new and different...
and deepdish is deepdish, no matter how you slice it....point was that American cars were doing it long before RICE even existed, and the second pic I posted about that had a flat lip.

Yes, the mirrors were stock Shelby... 65/66. As you can see in the pics you posted.
No, the wheels with a step lip aren't deep dish. Deep dish like what is available for the '05 is a modern thing. Period.
I definitely wasn't suggesting a corral for their car. Personally, I think the set up on the '06 Pony V6 looks terrible and I'm glad it's only available on the V6. I was just saying the 65 grille looks better than the 66.

ok this is getting way off topic so we should probably return to it soon....
but my reference to Eleanor was indeed just that a reference to suggest which mirrors should be made; but if we want to nitpick, Eleanor was a 67 not a 65/66 and those mirrors were not stock that year thus making Chip's design unique, I further more appologize for not fully understanding your statement about the mirrors being stock to Shelby's I was stuck on the 67 that Eleanor is. Oh and by the way even though those mirrors did come on the 65/66 Shelby GT350s the pics I posted were of GT350H which really cant be considered stock since they were made special and specifically only for Hertz and only 1000 were made, which can hardly be called standard.
Deep dish: silly me I though that the term "deep dish" refered to the negative offset of the wheel, not to the presence of a flat lip, or even as according to Websters dictionary: 2. To make concave, or depress in the middle, like a dish; as, to dish a wheel by inclining the spokes. I always thought this meant that the center or mounting place of the wheel was sunk in away from the outer wall, not to mention from the centerline of the wheel, but I guess the times they are a changing now aren't they?

I like this hood, I know it was pointed out earlier. If you make it please keep the weight down, unlike 3D Carbons that weighs about 140lbs, according to shipping info on Crossroadzdirect
