This is off the site,
The BF GT more than lives up to the famous badge. The muscle car for the 21st century. With 290kWs of Boss quad cam V8 power and the choice of 6-speed manual gearbox or the optional ZF 6 speed high torque automatic. The GT is second-to-none for outright handling and driver comfort in a 5 passenger Australian built performance sedan.
290kWs = 388.896 horses as per onlineconversions.com
I'd love to drop that engine in!!!

the 5.4 4v DOHC sounds familiar...
Is it the same engine as the GT500 sans SC?
And check out the interior...the seats in even the top dog GT500 look like bench seats when compared to the seats in that thing!
While the styling is certainly not american muscle car styling, read lamblasted Pontiac GTO, how is it that the Aussie wing of ford can build what look from here to be such better products than the parent company...?
And isn't FPV, the Aussie version of SVT??? Dead here but offering 6 vehicles in aussieland?
What gives?

The Boss 290 has been around for several years.
This will probably make you guys feel even worse, the Boss 290 engines are built in Romeo, MI and then shipped over to Australia. Take it up with Ford Marketing as to why they won't sell that engine in the US.

Why the heck they don't bring that chassis over here as a Lincoln, and make it a direct and domminant competitor to the STS-V is another one of those questions that cannot be answered in a rational manner. As Lincoln and Mercury stagnate for unique product, the Caddillac brand is changing GM from the top down.
Here is MM&FF's coverage of one. http://www.musclemustangfastfords.co...gtp/index.html
