Shinoda pricing?!
I filled out a form to get a quote on their site. It was a "Stroker Edition" GT Prem. Coupe. It didn't even have Shaker 1000 system or side curtain air bags. I had no idea the price was so high! Can anyone show me some better pics of some 2005 Shinodas? (besides ones from the proto thread). Shindoa does not know how to do photoshops!

Ummm.... just what are you putting in the 450 to make it compete with the Vette, let alone the 600??????
And, are you just stroking the 4.6 for $50k? The new aluminum block, or the old block? If it is a "complete overhaul", what heads? What internals? What compression? F/I? What sort of numbers is the engine putting out? And, is it custom body work, or just CDC stuff? What do you mean by "complete suspension"? Revised panhard bar/arms? New L-arms? Adjusted rollcenters? Or just springs, shocks and sways and maybe some bushings? What sort of testing have you done?
Heck, even the way overpriced blowen Saleen isn't near those figures. And they look to offer a lot more than you, not to mention being completely custom, very distinct and pretty darn good looking. I sure hope it is a complete overhaul as you suggest--even moreso than what is listed. The only thing I have seen poor photochops, an idea for an engine, and a list of products made by other companies.
If you don't have specs, how did you come up with a target price? If you do have specs, why won't you share them? Everyone else has had their products built and shown loooooong before prices were ever mentioned (most everything at SEMA still does not have pricing).
And, not to put to fine a point on it, but I would CERTAINLY expect a better web site from a company trying to sell $40-$70k vehicles. It just makes me think it is all smoke and mirrors, like you are trying to have someone pay you first to build a vehicle from off-the-shelf components. And at really high prices to boot. If you can sell the cars for the price you are asking, you certainly should be able to pay someone to build you a descent web site. And you certainly should have specs before pricing (even if they are rough).
Sorry to be such a naysayer, but I am a very suspect to say the least.
Maybe I am just jaded.

Good point holdeca1, but wouldnt you like to know what they're doing to get that 600hp? Details are a little sketchy so im gonna withhold judgement for a little longer...except that website really does blow
1) SHM will put a ~600hp blown DOHC 4.6 in your car for about $22k installed. Add $27k for the car = $49k. The exra $18k come in from what; suspension, body mods and stickers?
For reference:

2) Who said it was 600hp? Just because it is called the Shinoda 600 doesn't mean it has 600hp.
Not that I am against Shinoda, but there are already much cheaper alternatives with PROVEN results.

Why is Shinoda still even in business...? Who buys their stuff? I have yet to see any actual Stroker edition cars be it SN95's or S197's...
All I ever hear is the same old song from TeamShinoda about how they are offering this and that with this much HP and this many mods...but wheres the beef? I hate to be so negative, but honestly why aren't there any Shinoda cars around? And why is your website so crappy? Do you even build turn key cars?

I'll have to take my shiney new digital camera and head over to the show, get some good snaps.
And hey guys, freakin chill on the slamming the website. These guys are gearheads not techheads ... it'd be better to clean up their website, but who would you rather have working on your car, someone concerned more about appearance or about performance?
