Iceman, i'm really questioning your intelligence here. We're talking about a limited production mustang here, not a ferrari. Why can't you comprehend the fact that we're talking about a "waiting" list and not an actual order? And what's so hard to believe about getting this car for MSRP? I hope you're around when these cars get delivered so that anyone here that got it for MSRP can shove it up your ****.

Dude, don't feed the trolls, especially when they're 12 years-old and illiterate.

I'm guessing iceman241 is a product of George Bush's highly successful "No Child Left Behind" program.

LOL Robert!

Iceman, while it is true that the Ford GT now goes for around $250k when it first came out there were people who bought it at MSRP. To make a statement that there is no way ANYONE will get the Shelby at MSRP is foolish. There will be someone, even if it is only 1 person and it will make you look foolish. There are thousands of dealers out there so the chances of someone knowing someone who owns a dealership and getting a deal is highly likely.

Webba everyone knows that when a car as highley sought after as the shelby is going to be is not going to go for msrp think about it why would a dealer sell it to a guy that says i will not pay msrp when another guy behind him will pay above msrp that makes no sence and you and i both know that before these cars even hit the lot people will be standing with check books wide open willing to pay anything for these cars just dont make sence to me since dealers get more money the higher they sell the car if you where a dealer wouldnt you get as much as you can for it since the more you get for the car the more money goes in your pocket. I can promise you noone is getting this car for msrp unless you are boss of the dealership then you might be able to.

Iceman, there are certainly plenty of dealers who will inflate the price of the GT500 to ridiculous levels in an attempt to profit from the intense interest. However, there will always be a select few dealerships that will sell the car for MSRP. To say that absolutely no one will get a GT500 for MSRP is foolhardy and unjustified. This is especially true of buyers who are willing to be patient and wait a few months for initial excitement to subside before purchasing. For their patience, they will be rewarded with realistic pricing. A few dealers actually realize that selling cars is more about building lifelong relationships with customers than just making the maximum profit on a single sale.

Dude your posts are one long, run-on sentence, it wouldn't hurt you to learn how to use punctuation. I bet your English teacher uses up an entire red pen grading your papers....and a bottle of Tylenol

Mustang fanatic i will tell exactly why no dealers will sell the GT500 for msrp because there is only going to be about 7000 made a year that is why noone is going to sell it for msrp. Next if a dealership is even lucky to get a couple of them the boss would fire the dealer who gives a person the car for msrp it wont happen until the car has been out for awile then you might just might get it for msrp. Ok this is how sure i am that you or noone will be able to get the GT500 for msrp when it comes out ill bet you 100 bucks that when the GT500 comes out i would like for you to go down to a dealership any dealership that will have the GT500 and you just go and ask them if you can get it for msrp you know what they will do just like everyone else will do laugh at you cause you dont make any sence saying people will get it for msrp it just wont happen why cause there will be a limited amount of them and second its a shelby there hasnt been a shelby made for 40 years now if the shelbys back then they where bought real fast what makes you think there not going to be bought real fast now since technolagy is alot better also and what makes you think people wont pay anything to get there hands on one. If people paid 50 to 60 grand for a 2000 cobra R trust me they will pay that much and more for a shelby noway msrp i promise you that.

Maybe because the MSRP on a 2000 Cobra R was $54,995.

Screw $100, Ill bet ya $10,000 someone gets it for MSRP and someone who visits this site no less. Its the law of averages, it will happen. heck for $10,000 Ill just run down to the dealer and split it with him!LOL Seriously though it will happen. And I know you are going to quote some magazine you read about the 7,000 a year production quantity but I will counter with the article where the Ford honcho says they will make as many as people want. So we wont really know until it comes out now will we??! And when the Shelby's came out years and years ago in the beginning they were obtainable as well. My uncle bought his 65 GT350 off the showroom floor! For $4200. That wont be the case this time of coourse as demand will be high but you will be able to get it at MSRP. Not you of course as when they read your application and see your grammar they are throwing you out of the dealership

Maybe Iceman is a secret spy for Ford motor company and he is checking to see if they can start controlling the prices that their dealers charge for cars, yea thats the ticket.

Iceman, IF each dealer is going to get one (and thats a big if) I know plenty of little small town Ford dealers here in the Great Plains that would sell it for MSRP because they are not greedy and they have to keep up good relations in these small communities. They stand to gain nothing by selling one car for a jacked up price in a community where the word would spread quickly. If you've never lived in small town America, you don't have a clue what I'm talking about.

I don't think small town dealers are SVT dealers, I thought that was reserved for the larger volume dealers.

Those in Canada are guaranteed to get it for MSRP - price gouging is strictly controlled here.

So, just another one of iceman's uninformed rants.

I was referring to the rumor that all dealers will get one, posted in one of the other topics.

They only made 300 Cobra Rs in 2000 compared to 7,000+ Shelby GT500s, you can't compare the two. HTT has already said that they will meet demand for the Shelby.
