shelby hertz
absolutely love the look of this car freaking looks awesome. In my opinion its lacking in power only puttin up roughly 320 but still beautiful. If you havent seen it go to the shelby main site and theres tons of pics and info on it. To bad it's probly gonna auction off for somethin ridiculous.

Saw it at the NY Auto show today. Nice car but nothing is as nice as that Parnelli Jones Edition Saleen. That car is simply awsome. I actually like it better than the GT-500 but it's way too expensive.

I wonder why Car & Driver has it listed as a 2007 model? It's a 2006...
Anyway, here's our article: 2006 Shelby GT-H

Well I have to admit the car is awsome, it's amazing to see one of the most desired Mustangs reborn . Great combination of power, performance parts and good looks that faithfully follow the original.
That said I think the way they are handling this car smacks of nothing but greed!! Look at the name, "Shelby GT-H". They were carefull to leave the 350 out of the name so they can still make that model later. All the parts are basicly off the shelf, suspension, performance parts, side scoops. The only thing "Shelby" about it is the name on the back and the custon dash plaque. No Shelby Cobra, no cobra emblems. So they paint it black with gold stripes, and call it a GT-H with a custom Hertz emblem, make a limited number of them and give them to Hertz, no sales to the public, then after the public drives them and wants one, they auction them off for what, mega collector bucks to who know who. Its really nothing more than a big publicity move, people will see them want them , but cant have them, so they will have to go to Ford dealerships and buy a standard Mustang instead.
I mean its exciting they are making the car but all we can do is hope to buy some of the same parts and build our own versions.
Its like the Ford GT, or the Shelby GT-500, we can look and dream , but who can buy one????
