Went lurking through a GM site late last night. Those boys know more than we do about this car. I scrolled through pages. It was a hoot!

Their arguing amoungst themselves over GM not counter acting to the new mustang. They also mention the price difference. Heck, after seeing the new Cobra, a lot of them are thinking of jumping ship. Get ready Brad, and Moderators. I think TMS is going to grow even more.

I doubt it. Just like we don't know more about their cars than they do.

It will be hard for them to swicth since their loyalty and affiliation has been to GM products. Look at how many of us have stuck with Ford.

The only difference between them and us is we got lucky and they got screwed.

The part about knowing more than we do was a joke. As for their loyality, there were certainly a few there that did'nt sound to loyal to me.

Especially when they seen the price and the hp numbers, compared to the vette's price, and came right out and said they might be switching.

Yeah that sounds pretty loyal. Don't worry, I would imagine Ford has lost their share of supporters also.

As for the last comment, your right!

Also those boys over at Dodge should be as well. That 440 H.P. Charger is going to be $40,000, bigger so it weighs more then the GT-500. So the GT-500 will blow that Charger away.

The Corvette is a different animal. Not everyone is willing to shed $50K+ for a toy. The example compares to the 2K Cobra R. Too bad the GTO doesn't have an appealing design otherwise that would be a consolation for the GM guys.

I understood your first post. I wasn't being serious just matter of fact.

Apparently the GT will blow one away...A salesman I know at a Chrysler dealership went to a ride and drive for the new Charger. They had a Viper and a Mustang GT for comparison. According to him the Mustang was faster than the Charger...

There is supposed to be a 2-door version of the Charger coming out with 425hp. Maybe it will be called a Challenger? but it will probably weigh less than the Charger!

Not to mention the new Charger (snicker) looks like a piece of dog crappola..... that yellow one at the NY auto show is absolutely hideous!

Best thing about thei new Shelby Cobra?....
My good buddy is NOT a Ford guy - had two in his lifetime and swore NEVER to buy again.

Sent him pics of the Cobra yesterday at work......

He is seriosuly considering the possibility of getting one....

There's been alot of speculation about that and alot of photoshops but not proof. Car and Driver did have some official photochops released by Chrysler a few months ago of a 2 door 300C coupe and convertible, but Chrysler said that they are just styling ideas and have no plans for production. So far, it also appears that the demand is small for a 2 door. If they do a 2 door, I imagine it would be a Dodge, just because Chrysler already has a 2 door sport coupe, the Crossfire.

Chrysler also has a Hemi powered 2 door concept coupe, the Firepower, but the price tag would be in the Vette territory. They have also said that they have no plans on building it.
