Here's the picture I could get... it's that of the Silver GT and it does have the 18" rims that were shown on the GT at the NAIAS in Jan of 2004.

Nope.. the one I saw looked nothing like that. It came to a point at the end of the hood... but didn't go as far at the hood goes... it stopped and came to a point.
But the height of the scoop.. looks to be that tall.

If I had more time today.. I'd drive by it again and see if that's where they keep it at night.. but I'm about to head out to see Helmet
Maybe on the drive home.. I'll make a stop by.. but my camera takes crappy pics at night

Amy...have we told you lately how much we LOVE having you snooping around for us!!!
You need some Go Go Gadget Lift shoes to give you a quick 6-8 foot height boost to shoot over those offending fences and other cars!!
Keep it up...you're destined for Car Spy greatness!!

You know what... went searching around for pics that "might" look similar to what I saw.. at the GT-R hood does come close.
But it doesn't come to a point at the end... could've sworn what I saw did.... but see where it stops... near the windshield area... that's where the Cobra's hood scoop stopped at.
I haven't seen the GTR in person yet.. but what I saw today looks to have a taller scoop than the GTR's.
It just looked HUGE. The car is silver.. and looks to have some silver primer on it and the hood scoop is black.. could be covered up though.

How do you know its the 06 cobra? Just curious ... because it could be any test "SE" or maybe even a test of a different engine in a GT, so they had to make a cowl so the engine would fit.

But based on what other people have seen in my area and their accounts... this seems to be it.
We see all sorts of weird things around here. One of the weirder ones I saw was the Lincoln LS with an 05 Mustang front end. Showed it to Brad when he was here.

yes...but how do you know its a Cobra? What other stories/accounts have you heard from other people in the area that would lead you to believe it is a Cobra, and not just another test SE or such.

Like Grantsdale said, they could just be covering an intake that doesn't fit (yet).
A good example of this is that video about the Boy Racer. In the dyno room, they are using plastic test manifolds, that are REALLY TALL. Down the road, if they work out the right length and diameter for the manifold runners, they figure out how to bend it or mesh the runners together for a cleaner lower profile.
Interesting stuff, though...
