this crazy!!!! 70 grand for a stang??? why would anyone buy this instead of the GT500 for est:25k less with same hp.i rather buy a porsche,ZO6,BMW M3... for that kind of money. Does Saleen hold there vaule? i doubt it! :notnice:

I drove by my local dealer (where i bought my car) yesterday. There was a covered big rig and inside were four brand new 435 hp supercharged Saleens. Just for the heck of it i asked the Sales Manager how much $$ for one, 56k, to much for me. They did look cool coming off the truck.

 

They look cool.... not 56,000 dollar cool

 

That rear wing must be gold plated. I'd be surprised if more than ten of those hit the market. They'll be instant collectors for the Saleen faithful.

 

2006 Extreme has 550 HP not 450 HP.

 

It will still get raped by a Z06.

 

I wonder how much wieght all that plastic adds to the car.

 

Think that is bad, the base ( 400hp) supercharged model is over about 55K MSRP with just a shaker 500 option and the engine still has stock internals...

You can build a GT into one for around 40K....( and probably make it look better )
