Great vid. I'd like to see more of these types of vids. Great comparisons.

That's a really unexpected result - according to the vid, the Roush 427R out-accelerated the Saleen S281 Supercharged.

According to spec, the Saleen has a bit more horsepower and significantly more torque. I wonder where the difference comes from.

It comes from the stock Saleen supercharger package. The Saleen makes all of it's power below 5000rpms due to the fact it still uses several key stock parts. They still use the stock maf, injectors, and fuel pump. After 5000rpms it falls on its face because they have to pull fuel and timing. Only the Extreme Saleens use a larger maf and better fuel system. The Roush is a more complete package because they change the maf and fuel system which allows it to keep making power to redline.

Yup, you gotta spend an extra grand to get the bigger injectors and fuel pump. Takes the S281SC up to 475HP.

No, the SCs have been the 465/475 package for a few years now. 39 lb injectors and and same MAF and intake as the Extreme. The Extremes get the dual pumps.
