Roush 427R - Its just hot!!
I am really likeing the Roush 427R and I am seriously thinking about gettin one. Does anyone here have one and what can you tell us about etc??
A Dealer today told me that Roush was only building 200 of those...is that true?? I find that hard to believe.
thanks

I am not aware of any production estimates released by Roush Performance for the 427R. The 200 mark could be accurate or hot air.

I would try, there is nothing to lose. If it is common knowledge they can confirm it, although Roush Performance usually favors news releases and press conferences rather than provide information to the public.

I stopped by Palm Bay Ford (30 miles south of St. Augustine) yesterday. There was a Torch Red Stage 3 in the showroom with all the goodies minus the stripes for $54K which included the $1,300 GGtax. They are interested in "moving it" and will deal.

The Roush Dealer here in Houston has a Yellow one. Loaded out for around 54K. No ADM. Check www. Roushperf.com and go to the main page. At the top Menus, select Vehicles, Mustang and then the 427R.
Sweet car, very similar to the Stage 3, limited production and has the option of leaving off the frills upon ordering, to reduce the price by about 6K.

54K - sounds really high - most of the ones I have seen are $47 and still have most everthing.... just what I have seen as far as internet and a dearler here..

Any ADM will last only until it 'needs' to go. They are expensive enough at MSRP.

It was listed on the Vehicle Information Sheet in the Passenger Window. It totaled to just less than 54K.
With the loaded Roush 427R Package with Optional Brakes Package, adding up to 21336, and the GGT at 1300, then the total Vehicle was around 32094. I imagine there was some extra cost for the Black Aftermarket wheels that were on there as well as the Premium GT Order Package. With the average wheel upgrades costing in the order of 2800 to 3600, then the price should have been around 49830 for the Roush 427R with no Dealer Add ons.

Many 427s are also absent on the 445.00 Shifter Assembly Option, which is for the Roush Shifter Beam and the Ball and Handle setup. My shop has yet to add an ADM to a Roush 427R.

Only options I'd add to the car would be the 14-Inch Front Brake Upgrade and the Short Throw Shifter w/ Chrome Shifter Arm and White Ball ****... but that's just me.

The Roush Short shifter is nice as well. Put that one in my 05 Roush and been daily driving on it for about 6K miles. Sweet piece and no worry about the issues common with stock shifters.

Here is the photos of our 427R we got in the other day. The Roush window sticker says just about $49,500 give or take a couple dollars.

We are selling at sticker and no ADM. We did on the Shelby and have only one of the seven left. But that is a sore subject I know.. Anyway.. enjoy the pics!
