Is this true i got a Mays issue of MPH mag and it says that the production GT500 with stripes wont have shelby on the back. Tell me how to post it and i will for everyone to see.

 

You mean the S-H-E-L-B-Y lettering on the trunklid? Good. I think it looked out of place.

Those Mustang fanatics with the identity crisis, like the fog light driving GT guys, are not going to be amused with Ford taking off their revered 4 1/2" letters. If anything, they will like them bigger... A LOT BIGGER!

 

But how do i put it on my PC in the first place so i can upload it? And mr-mstng if they dont put the shelby name on the ones with stripes they will go down in value really fast his name is a collectors item you want his name on your car i guess ill have to get one without stripes so i can have his name on my car i mean if what that magazine is true which i hope it isnt. And im not good with punctuactions and periods sorry.

 

The car is already named Shelby. you dont need it plastered on its behind for the value to go up imo.
One of the things I love about the mustangs is that they are cool about things. they dont need big letterings, or little stickers, or badges to tell people what it is (except for the horsey of course, and the Cobra II's :P ). Mustang has a distinct look to it, and you dont need some letters to tell you what it is.

 

Well then, how do you explain the big hiney letters on the butt of the SN95's then?

I like the shelby lettering, they had it on the 60's shelbys! I would like to see magnum 500's and woodgrain dash panels too!

Ive already mastered putting emblems on cars, that dont belong!

 

Hmmm, ok maybe a little smaller but I still have no problem with it. I'd rather have Shelby than SVT on it anyday.
To me:
SVT=Regular Mustang with a few extra options.
Shelby=Special Edition Mustang I can respect and drool over.

Do you have a scanner? You need to scan the pages and save them as a file on your PC. BTW, when I say about the lettering, I mean just remove that, the lettering. Having it embossed into the rear bumper cover, or having small GT500 emblems I think would look better. More subtle. At least that is what I like to see.

 

Love the Shelby iletters, but a little smaller would be better...

 

Hey maverick how does that shelby have the stripes and shelby on the back the magazine i have said that the older ones that had stripes didnt have shelbys name on the back. And i dont have a scanner sorry guys i wish i did why dont yall go to the store and see if they have it in on the front cover it has mph in bright yellow letters and a picture of the GT500 on the front cover and above it says raw power. And im with maverick if it doesnt have shelby on the back then i think it would be just a ordanary Cobra like the reast of them when people see Shelby on the back when you pass them they will know for sure not to mess with you. And i think it looks good the way it is just wait until you see it in person everyone that has saw it at a car show has said it is beautiful in person the pictures dont do it justice please ford dont change that much on it pretty please.

Hey lets take a vote to see who likes the shelby name on the back or if they dont and that way if ford reads this they will give the people what they want.

 

lol! I doubt fors is going to pay any attention to a few votes on some forum... Ford is in it for the big bucks. They know that Shelby's name will be a big seller. So they most likely are not going to shrink it or remove it... If any think I would think they would add more Shelby emblems!
