Our version...

We (Ultimate Autosports) came up with our own version - a Performance White GT with charcoal leather, H&R springs, custom one-off American Racing Torque Thrust II wheels (20 X 8 front and 20 X 10 rear), Guardsman Blue painted and clearcoated stripes, full billet grill, slotted/drilled rotors, hood pins, deleted rear spoiler, hand made mahogany steering wheel, and a bolt in single hoop roll bar. We finished it about 2 months ago. It's going to be a feature car in an upcoming edition of 5.0 Mustang and Super Fords magazine.

We tried to make it very close to the original while giving it a modern look. Opinions are welcomed.

Thanks.

The steering wheel looks retarded.

And for the sake of a constructive post: "The rest is okay."

Slammed just a bit too low for my taste.....

Other than that, great job - that looks hot.

(and I am not a fan of 20 inch wheels but those are working..)

Thanks to everyone for the input, we appreciate it. We have a C&L intake (with a Predator tune) and Pypes Exhaust Violator mufflers on it.

I like it a lot, but that steering wheel belongs in a yacht.

Love the stance with the 20's, which H&R springs are those? Would look much meaner with the C/S front bumper cover on it with that low stance.

Haha, yeah that was sort of a **** thing to say.

But it IS true, the steering wheel looks like ***.

On a side note, why is "****" censored. A common nickname for thosed named Richard...

Furthermore, why is "badass" permitted, but not regular "***" ?

Great looking car! I was wondering if you could share the offset and backspacing for the front rims. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Whats the cost in this edition? Is that the $1200 Steering wheel? First time I have seen it on the Mustang and I agree, has to go....
But a very beautiful car!!!

Like I said before, we appreciate the comments (positive or negative). Here are the answers to the additional questions:
  • As far as the steering wheel, we had it made locally. We have less than $900 in it.
  • Keep in mind that the steering wheel can be removed and replaced with the original!
  • The springs are H&R Super Sports.
  • The offset of the wheels are:
    • 27MM on the 8" wide.
    • 39MM on the 10" wide.
  • This is our U66 model. The price is $34,900 (when built on a brand new chassis) - we have access to pre-owned Mustangs as well which will save from $2,000 - $4,000 vs. a new chassis.
I also wanted to add some information about the single hoop roll bar if anyone was interested. This is our own patent-pending design that only takes about 1 hour to install. We actually use the (4) seatbelt mounting points to attach the system.

Please see our website (www.UltimateAutoSports.com) for information on our (5) additional models.

Thanks,
Matt Tyner

Is the roll bar adaptable for a vert? as for the stearing wheel. I like the wood look but just a bit large, if it was thined down a bit I think it would look better. IMO.

I'm sorry, but we don't offer anything in a roll bar for a convertible at this time. It should be a somewhat simple change to make it work (delete the upper mounting brackets and add additional brackets in the lower portion). The biggest challenge will be where the additional lower brackets should be located and where they should tie into the body. If the market demands something, we'll deliver.

Thanks,
Matt

Your cars look good. Most of them have a rather stealthy appearance. Except for the ES2, thats a cop magnet. lol

The hood on the U67 looks like crap IMO. Too big. The RK Sport hood looks exactly like the 67 Shelby's hood, maybe you can use that instead.
