OUCH!
The whole thing is suspicious. Why would there be a salvage title on a car that is said to be repairable for a few thousand in ridiculously low estimates? It this were true, the insurance company wouldn't have totaled the car and wouldn't be listed on Ebay. The rear frame must be FUBAR.
If someone hit my Saleen and it ended up lookin like that....I don't know what I'd do to the person but it sure wouldn't be pretty...lol. The thing does look fixable though. With a little can-do attitude and a little elbow grease...and yes a very large inheritance from your father Earl Goodman you could rebuild that thing...lol...that's from Dodgeball for any of you wondering what I'm talkin about. And I'd say if you're worried about safety because of the frame then don't drive it...turn it into a show car.
Reminds me of a story when a guy bought a 911 Turbo and he brought it back for his first service over lunch time. Unknown to him, the service tech ( a young, legally employed fellow ) took the car and decided to show off. You guessed it ( looked just like the saleen above -- W R E C K E D ).
Man comes back and the owner of the dealership and cheif service manager greeted him ... walked him to the wrecked car ... walked him to his NEW 911 Turbo -- exact match, color, options ( I believe ) ... and asked him to please reconsider them for all his future needs.
what happened to the young fellow ... well ... theres always McDonalds
It sucks to see something like that ... but thats what insurance is for and with that little miles on it; the owner of the car should have easly gotten his $$$ back. Why the heck it is on EBAY is bizzare; as mentioned before ... its going to take at least 30K or more to get that car to its original condition.
... just buy a new one ...

question... I see the speedo shows 200mph... how can the base s281 hit 200mph? what do they do different than the stock GT? I thought the horsepower wasn't all that much different...
