This was email to me today via Google news News Article

Dressed up with a big grille, vented hood, ducktail rear spoiler and classic dual racing stripes, the car will resemble the old Shelbys of the late 1960s, said project leader Hau Thai-Tang, director of Ford's Special Vehicle Team.

I can't see why it should be much over the last Cobra since it is likely not to have IRS, which is one of the reasons why there has been the price difference to the GT. If it had IRS then it would be understandable to have the $40K price tag.

Ohhhhh man. I want this car real bad. If next year is our only chance to bag one, though (limited production run), it could be financially tough.

You should have said something in the thread title about this being the first pic of the 2007 Cobra. I know it isn't a great pic for seeing the whole car, but to my knowledge this is the first real photo we have seen.

For good reason, IMHO. $40k cars should have body color mirrors. I'm surprised it doesn't. Regardless, I'd buy one if I had the money.

Big deal the mirrors arent painted. They probably thought about all forms of Cost Cutting, and figured the mirrors can add to that cost reduction.

Even if the mirrors are not painted, even if it does not have IRS, and even if it costs 40k this car is going to be a raging bargain. The car is going to have in the neighborhood of 500 actual hp, will offer exceptional handling, and looks fantastic.

Let me think of all the other cars that offer all of these things for anything like the same amount of money. I remember now, there aren't any.
