I would like to open discussion on the next Mach1. I love the 04 but I am hoping that the next one doesnt look exactly like it. I think it would be a shame if they just take the exterior parts and strap them on the new one.

 

We don't know if there is going to be a Mach 1. Search for "special editions"

 

There is most likely going to be one though. I'd like to see it look like the 70s Machs... along with a 'vert option

 

A convertible Mach would be absolutely amazing! Too much to hope for, I think! B)

 

There most likely will not be one. They have to keep them spread out to keep collectibility value up (if everyone has something special, then it really isnt special now is it). They will come out with a different SE more likely than not. SVT Cobra (or whatever they will call it) will probably be the next to come out, but they may release another (shelby, boss, something along those lines) relatively close to the SVT release.

 

Regarding the Mach 1, there was one in 69-73 I believe. 71 being a completely different model. They didn't worry about collectibility then. Since 05 didn't get one and we don't know about 06 at least there was a break. Plus with a new design its a new ball game.

 

With absolutely no evidence of any type of news on SEs for 05 yet, I am going to say

"Wait til 06. At least."
