Maybe you can see it through the rear window when the top is up, but I bet it sure does light up the interior when you put your foot on the brake.

cool...you'll know it's working. CDC did a good job on this..could pass for a Shelby from a distance.

Those do look like FR500's. Very nice. Sonic Blue is such a great color, glad I'm getting mine next week.

You definitely can see it through the rear window when the top is up... my brother has a '00 Saleen convertible and they have the previous generation CDC lightbar, and I'll tell ya, if your sitting in the back seat at night when the brakes are pressed, you are blinded Thing lights up the whole rear, no doubt it can be seen from outside.

I'm confused John, are you saying your Bro's 3rd break light on the bar activates even after the top is up?

If so, that should be easily fixable. CDC should offer an acessory that cuts out the light when the top is up. I've got CDC's bar on my 99 (wired up by Saleen) and the 3rd break light definately no-workie with their little add on dohicky. I'm quite surprised his Saleen didn't come with it already installed.

On second thought, guess it really doesn't surprise me at all.

If the top is up you still need a 3rd brakelight. The CDC ducktail covers up the one on the trunk.

Yep, lights up with the top up, blinds me to death whenever I'm in the back seat because I always forget about it.
