I was working on a new rear for the centerfire and was using the shelby pic as a base so i decided to strip off the centerfire stuff and post the Shelby version.

Jeez Doug, you always out-do yourself. The Shelby emblem is perfect, and not gaudy. I think it fits much more than the lettering. The talights are different enough to distinguish them from a standard car.
I still have a soft spot for those concept lights though too.

Lalo..the spring edition stripes are gone now
I'm an idiot don't ask
Mike I created them from the stock tail lights with a bit of photoshop magic.
George...HAHHAHA you were right it looks better by far but there is some wear marks but they aren't to bad. I plugged the holes with some special putty i found so the only marks are just the diameter of the holes.

That ain't half bad, dude! You're right though, that back end needs something done to distinguish itself more from the GT - especially considering they did nothing to the sides.
That said, my guess is that retooling the rear end is an expensive proposition - mostly cause they'd have the trunk decklid opening to re-engineer - and so we will not see any fiddling with the back. This issue is also why they didn't do the straight across lights either, IMHO. Without significant redesign, those light bars would interfere with trunk access.
Which is to the car's detriment, because in its present form the rear end ain't different enough from a stock GT. :bang:
