Nice work, Doug!
Actually, they could slap the honeycomb on the back (pretty cheap) to match the front & differentiate the rear from a regular Mustang. Wouldn't cost that much.

Hey, Doug, have you done a GT500 'vert yet? Just askin, not insisting (well....maybe not insisting.... )

Doug as always great work. You are the man, but this one is just not my taste. I think the part that bothers me is how black area around the lights is bigger then the center portion hight wise.

where in the world did those tailites come from!?
that is as close to perfect for the backside of this car as you can get...nice job!
They are very close to what 67 and 68 rears looked like.

P.S. thats a great looking rear for the Shelby, and I always have like those particular Shelby emblems.

Wouldn't it be great to get something like this. I think the problem is that Ford doesn't want to spend the time or money redesigning the rear taillight treatment for a relatively low production volume. I suspect that the 10% of the Shelby that DOES get changed won't be the rear lights, but more likely fatter rubber, different mirrors...stuff like that.

i see where you got those taillights from that 67 vert, burningman, but the fastbacks were actually straight acrossPicture, and the middle went up:

I like it ... but I don't mind the Shelby lettering the way it is. Wonder what the gold letters would look like sunk down into the bottom half of your black inverted insert there.

I was working on a new rear for the centerfire and was using the shelby pic as a base so i decided to strip off the centerfire stuff and post the Shelby version.

Yeah i know and I tried that look but ditched it..i think sisnce the new stangs aren't fatbacks and are technically notches it's appropriate
