I wonder if those hood openings match up to this?

So, do you think the hood openings match up to these air intake boxes?

It's from the concept Lightning.

It was the engine for the new lightning concept truck which was supposed to have at least 500 h.p.

NOT the Adrenaline. Let's not start rumors. That was from the 2005 Lightning concept. The Adrenaline will apparently carry the '03 Cobra motor, 4.6L S/C V8 @ 390hp.

I think it unlikely that the Shelby will have any form of ram air like that, especially since the vents seem to be rear-facing. However, I'm not so sure that isn't the motor we'll be seeing. I guess we'll find out soon enough

I'd guess the vents serve the same purpose as on the 03/04 Cobra.

I can see them using the supercooler with any 4.6 Mustang but not a blown 5.4. That engine would make 450 easy without it. They could use it to shoot past 500 but the risk of engine failures, corporate CAFE, and the consumer's cost of insurance will probably keep it off this beast.

Sorry Buddy, I can't see where anyone has mentioned it. All the threads about the scoops on the mule , do the scoops line up?, blower vs n/as motor. I don't want to sound like a newbee but I rarely post because I sell Ford products in Dearborn and have customers in the know!

would the super cooler really reduce fuel efficiency? For one thing, its only on when you press the button, so it probably wouldn't figure into EPA mileage tests, unless those guys get really giddy. Furthermore, wouldn't pumping colder, denser air make the engine more efficient? I know the engine would also be providing power to the super cooler, so you'd think it would all balance out, but often these little thermodynamic tricks work out to a net gain, if you crunch through the numbers.
