Ooohhh, I didn't know fordracing200 wasn't old enough to drive! Now I don't think he is nearly as sagaciously challenged as I did before.

I may not be old enough to drive, but i do love the mustang, i know quite alot about the mustang, and i would appreciate a little more respect, people always hold my age against me.

That statement tops the list of some of your recent assesments . . . . .and it isn't a smart list.

Come on Doug . .you should know better than that.
I know, i am sorry, i should of thought a tad more before saying that.

You can't be serious? Any car, even a focus, can be deadly in the hands of the wrong person. If you have no idea how to handle the car, the car is then too powerful for that person. Period.
I shouldnt of said that, in the rain the 05 could be a handful i guess. The focus is so small and light it is definitly a handful.

Sooo....

You have to get used to that kind of power. It is like stepping up from a VW beetle to a big block muscle car. You have to be careful until you get used to the abilities and most importantly the limitations of the car and you.

Best thing to do is not to get crazy with it unless you are on the track. Even then, I would not get crazy there either. There are some pretty large concrete walls at most tracks.

you would be the fist person to land a mustang on the top of a building if you drive like your talking...
Eh, my grand father has that honor I think.
Test drivin a 1969 Mach 1, brand new, the dealership is down into the group pretty much, but there is a 3 foot gap between the road and the top of the dealership. Long story short, gramps was throttle happy, ended up on the dealership. They actualy used the car as a display while they figured out how to get it down. They also promptly baricadded the street area above the dealership.
Gramps ended up not getting a stang, went out and bought a GTO Judge...
still gots it to this day. Dad has that stang currently. Dealership got it down and it went to thier overstock lot and sat and sat and sat. They dealership closed in 82'... dad went down there and paid I beleive it was $9k for the car.
But driving a 390 hp car is kinda hairy at times...
so I can imagine 500 hp would take some real gettin used to.
I ain't had my cars dynoed but alst I knew here is waht I have and they all kinda scarey in bad weather:
68 GT 385-390 rwhp
82 Cutlass Supreme 338 rwhp
My 05 Gt isn't dynoed, and neither is my 85 Honda 49 cc scooter...
But ya, being carefull is definatly a must do with anything rwd, period. My cutlass in stock form only put 115 to the ground (b4 crate motor) and I oculd get the tail out easily...

You would be surprised at how many people cannot even tell the difference between 300-400-500 HP if they drive it. You guys crack me up.

I guess I might. Having driven almost back to back a buddies stock (300 hp) 05 and another friends S351R (500 rwhp) they are such completely different animals. I guess it's not HP but torque that makes the biggest difference. Punch the Saleen anytime and the rear can get squirly. Really have to be gentle with that beast as opposed to an 05 which while definately a respectable performer is much more of Sane Human's car.

I really can't imagine someone not realizing the difference in the performance of each of these cars.

It's also a different car altogether....

The 05 is so much more distributed and easy to launch.

You may have 3 x 300hp cars all different..and one feels harder to control, because of what else is done to the car....
