ae still being held.
Gonna try to get answers this week.
And just let me know if you're coming to central Maryland, there's a drive waiting for you.
Rapture--we'll bring the car to the cruise-in at Glory Days in Bowie, MD tonight.
Should be there sometime after 6pm.

Thaks, I do feel very lucky to have found out about this model and
then to get a special request approved to build it in Grabber Orange.
Recently got the production numbers--only 57 H281s were built, with
just 6 in Grabber Orange (mine is the one of those with an auto trany.)

Yep Mark, and I should find out how many auto-equiped ones were made in total from the whole
production run of 57.
I would be surprised if there was more than 10 built with the auto trany.

Hi Chuck, congratulations on receiving your awesome looking ride!
I joined just to ask...
Are those wheels from Saleen?
I can't find them on their site, and I'm wondering how to go about purchasing them and how much they cost.
I keep looking at the standard 17" "bullit" wheels and thinking they're just too many...elevation changes... in them. And too few in the 18" upgrades, especially on the edge of the rim.
"Boy, it'd be nice if somebody made a set like the 18" upgrades but with a true lip on the edge of the rim." ~I keep saying.
And then "Whoa Horsey!" this dude's got exactly what I've been looking for!
I can't wait to hear more about them. Thank you in advance, and for sharing all your pics!
p.s. Where IS the silver car pic? ~Nate.

Nate--Thanks, I don't think those Saleen wheels will be available in the aftermarket.
The production run of 07 H281 was not very large
and the 08 model Heritage is using a slightly different styled wheel in 19" size.
I bought a spare set of wheels directly from SSV, Troy as part of my purchase.
You could try going thru Saleen Parts to see if there are any more productions spares left over.

I know where I'm headed tomorrow then!
Thank you for the information Chuck! I'll have to swing up there tomorrow, or give 'em a call at least and see if they have any left.
Small production run (probably)= out of my price range, but it doesn't hurt to ask.
They do look way cool though!
I buy a matching wheel to keep in the car as a spare, but a spare set, that's a lot of wheels!
What prompted your purchase of another full set?
Thanks again, Nate.

Nate--the cost to me was only $200 per wheel, not the cheapest, but
less than I expected.
Having owned other Saleens, I'm very aware of how difficult it can be
to get unique Saleen parts a few years after production ends.
I try to keep spares of those unique parts that could be damaged with normal use.
I plan on keeping my Heritage for many years and realize that Saleen
will not have many replacement parts for it.
With my SA20, that I just sold, (only 10 made) I had a complete set of spare decals
and a back-up set of floors mats, wheels, and wheel center caps.

Phew! That's not bad at all.
This little quote from Saleen's website really had me freaked out...
"2005-2006 Saleen 20x9/20x10 Silver Wheels & Tires
Regularly Priced: $2,999.99 ON SALE NOW: $2,699.99"
$200.00 a wheel sounds cheap in comparison! It'd still end up being closer to $2000.00 with new tires and all, but only $1000.00 with the old tires, and that isn't too far out of reach for me.
Now then, how to make it happen? That's the big question. Off to figure it out!
Way to be prepared by the way, I imagine your garage being a little Saleen boutique, chock full of wee little bits of heavenly goodness. There's nothing like being able to do a restoration with brand new parts that you already have!
Have a good one! Nate.
