i was wondering if anyone knew if or if it's a possibility that they would make body mods to convert gt to have the gtr headlights and rear taillights and the front spoiler? cuz if they did i'd just get a 05 gt and do some body work. the cammer engine i can drop in when i have the money it's been a dream of mine to own a mustang since i can remember and now that i can afford one i really want to know all my options.

I don't want to sound pessimistic, but if history shows us anything, I doubt that we'll see any body kits from the GT-R. How many body parts from the FR500 did Ford produce?

 

Well If Ford Doesn't Build 'Em I'm Sure Someone Will! It just looks too good to let it Go! I Want the Hood, Headlights and the Front Facia!

 

Yeah, i'm sure that others will make body kits like the GTR, even if Ford doesn't put the parts on a future car. I don't think the FR500's body add-on's ever got reproduced, because the car's exterior never really caught on with most people. It was the engine and the wheels that most people seemed to like. The front bumper sort of looked like a step back in Mustang design to me. Looked similar to the 87-93 Fox bodied GT's. I would guess that was for better aerodynamics (closed grill), but wasn't exactly a home run in the looks department. Just my $.02.
