Not to nit pick, but I think it's green with silver stripes. Either way, I think it's ok. LL isn't my favorite color, but it does look sharp in some cases. And this car with a black top and interior would be one of those cases.

Another picture of the same car:

Hey, is this the first time we've seen official pics of the Vert GT500? I know the overall design of the Vert GT500 and the regular Vert GT are not very dissimiliar, but I just think it's really cool to finally see the new Ford Mustang GT500 Convertible.

Legend Lime, finally we get to see not only a vert but a different color.
BTW, notice anything different about the hood and front splitter? It's hard to tell if the hood has been changed but the lower portion of the front bumper looks very different to me.

Great catch on the pics -- thanks!
But, I am not liking the production version. It looks way too much like a V6. While the changes to the front bumper and hood were subtle, I think it looses the effect. Now the low front bumper and black rockers look odd and out of place. And the hood looks like it was tacked on. Certainly doesn't look like a $40k car. Maybe it is just the picture....

Good find. Two things that bother me about this otherwise stellar snake:
1)not completely sold on the look of the rims
2)can ford spare a few more bucks (or even pass the cost on to customer) to friggin paint the mirror to body color? it looks so dog gone cheap with the flat black mirrors on a $40,000 performance car, I can't understand who the bean counter executives are that make this decision...In my opinion the GT at a minimum should have color matched mirrors, most $20,000+ cars do....sheeesh!

Totally agree on both points. The wheels are a bit questionable (how would black ones look on a Tungsten silver or Black GT500), and the mirrors are kinda ridiculous. For $40k, they should go a bit further. Didn't Ford/SVT say a few years ago they were going to try to distinguish all the diffenrent levels of the Mustang from each other (as in noticable differences from the GT to the Cobra). Like they did with my "01 Cobra, they put the same hood on the following years' V6 model. Hey Ford, WTF?????

I'd also like to see that big mast for an antenna go away and get replaced by one of those super low profile color-matched antennas.

I agree 100%, They should have never left the shop without paint on them, Yeah I know years before they never were painted, but its 05 lets make a change, and paint them. Last years COBRA'S had painted mirror's, but I think every car should, and cobras should get a new set of mirrors for that matter. F 150 !!!!!!!!!!!
Rampant'r right it looks to mellow, and stubtle to me. I dont know maybe it's the L L color, but the red never Screamed COBRA to me.
