Can we list every aftermarket +05 mustang?

Can anybody keep track of them all over the last 4 years?

I'll start off the list with the ones I can think of off the top of my head that have been for sale to the public, and will update as you all provide more.

I'm limiting this to cars you can buy already completed, as opposed to body kits. For example Cervini will build you a C500 mustang or sell you a B9 body kit. https://www.cervinis.com/product.asp...1&id=1208#1170

More Tuner Mustangs

TJ4Cam: I checked for a tuner Mustang offered by Hillbank on their website.

As far as I can tell, Hillbank is a dealer for Superperformance vehicles, Roush body kits or parts of kits, Foose vehicles, et cetera. There was no mention of a turnkey Hillbank Mustang tuner vehicle.

You can't truly rely on that, however, because Sherrod Conversions does not mention any Mustang other than their 300S on their website, yet Suge lists a 500S that he must have heard about or read about somewhere...

More Tuner Mustangs

Another forum has a thread about tuner Mustangs. I C/P'd this from a thread in that forum, posted by a guy known as "the Nethead here". I added tuners 37, 38, and 39, but I think his original 36 includes some not found in this thread so far:

1. SVT (the GT500, FR500C/FR500GT4, FR500S, & FR500GT/FR500GT3)
2. Shelby (the Shelby CS8, Shelby CS6, Shelby GT, Shelby GT-H, Shelby GT Supercharged, the Fortieth Anniversary GT500, the GT500KR, and the GT500 Super Snake)
3. Saleen (the S281, S281 Supercharged, S281 Extreme, S281RF (Red Flag),the Parnelli Jones Edition, twenty-five 600 HP 200 MPH "Bad Boy" Mustangs, the 580 HP H281 Heritage Edition, twenty-four American Flag S281s, the Saleen 550 available only to Ford GT owners, and twenty-five 620 HP S302-E Sterling Edition Mustangs)
4. Steeda (the Torch Red Q, QS6, Q335 Club Racer, Q400, Q525, & the Q650)
5. Kenny Brown (the CSR & the CSR-69)
6. Roush (the Sport, Stage I, Stage II, Stage III, 427R, Roadster, 427R Drag-Pak, 427R Trak-Pak, the Mustang Drag Pak (50 total), the Blackjack, the 428R (200 total), the 429R, & the P-51A (510 HP))
7. Foose (the Stallion, naturally-aspirated or supercharged)
8. Xtreme Mustang Performance (the Crazy Horse Level I & Level II)
9. Cervini (the C300, C350, & the C500)
10. Dream Car Factory (the DCF 500 GT, 500 GT-S, & the 500 GT-R)
11. Fang Performance (the Street Pak, Track Pak, Track Pak II, & the Eliminator)
12. Black Widow Enterprises (the Ivan Tampi Edition)
13. Temple Performance Cars Legend Series (the Series I & the Series II in two versions)
14. Pure Power Motorsports (the Hubert Platt & Randy Payne Shadrach Mustang with twin-turbo 900 HP)
15. Cragar Wheels (the Cragar Special Edition)
16. Heritage Customs (the AJ Foyt Coyote Edition in Base and Supercharged versions)
17. GeigerCars of Germany (the GT520)
18. All-American Supercars (the Vortech Edition Mustang with 510 HP)
19. Shinoda Performance (the Boss Shinoda Mustang, in several stages from 350 HP to 750 HP)
20. Sanderson Sales & Marketing (the Custom Tribute Mustang)
21. Knudsen Automotive Design, LLC (the Rage Mustang)
22. Wheel to Wheel Powertrain (the AR500 Mustang with the Antonov two-stage supercharger)
23. Miller Motorsports Park (a race-prepared Mustang Challenge Car for $55,000--which may be marketed as the Mustang FR500S)
24. Hennessey Performance Engineering(the KR600 (a GT500 with a 2 yr/24,000 warranty), the KR 650, and the KR750 (750 HP/690 ft lbs, 11.2 @ 131 MPH, and 201 MPH top end)
25. Finishline Performance Design (the Dale Jarrett Performance Mustang, naturally-aspirated or supercharged)
26. Galpin Ford (the Mustang Boss 302 available in Grabber Blue only--with a new 390 HP four-barrel-carburetored pushrod Boss 302, 4.56s, 20" Octane wheels, etc.)
27. Mark III Customs (the Mark III Mustang thru participating Ford dealerships)
28. Ultimate Autosports (the ES1, ES2, UPT, U66, U67, U68, and U69--bodykits, with optional superchargers or turbochargers, lowering springs, bigger wheels/tires, and custom interior pieces)
29. UK Garage of Milan, Italy (the U69--naturally-aspirated or 490 HP supercharged--with lots of '69/'70 Boss 302-looking body hardware and striping. Possibly, this is a license-built Ultimate Autosports U69 mentioned above)
30. Big 3 Performance (the Street Comp Performance Package Mustang, with 650 HP)
31. Retrobuilt Super Cars (the RSC-GT Mustang with superchargers from either Roush, Paxton, or Vortech)
32. Guerin Engineering of Clearwater, FL (the Mustang GTS--very Mustang GT-R in appearance)
33. Blue Flame American Distributions Network is building naturally-aspirated or supercharged Mustangs for export to Japan (a Bullitt replica S197 and a Boss replica S197)
34. R&A Motorsports (the Twister Special Mustang--only 96 to be built, and only in Grabber Orange) Tasteful aftermarket appearance options, mild performance options
35. Booze Brothers Performance (BBR) Limited Editions (the Pony or the Stallion, apparently)
36. Griggs Racing (the GR40ST, GR40TT, & GR40RT)

37. Ronaele (the 350, 450, 550, and 700 Monoceros)
38. Sherrod Conversions (the 300S and 500 JS)
39. Modular Power House (the Series 1, Series 2, and Series 2 Drag Pac)

Quite a list, and probably doesn't have 'em all...

This is a stampede, at the very least...Who would have thought just two years ago that a 500 HP GT500 would be sorta middle-of-the-pack in the Mustang tuner wars?? One of the 40-year-veteran SEMA VPs said it (the massive number of shops building Mustang tuner cars) "...is the greatest all-out avalanche in the history of aftermarket performance. Not since the '32 Deuce flathead V8 has there been anything like this!"

The New Mustang Nation: SCCA racing license not required, but VERY useful!

-----------------------------------------------------------------

In further postings in that thread, "the Nethead here" says he would not include any tuner Mustangs that did not include at least some higher performance hardware, like a more free-flowing exhaust. Therefore he did not include the Saleen Mollypop--which may be just metallic pink applied to one of the six or seven Saleen models--nor did he include the Warriors in Pink or the California Special packages for the same reason. And I believe he didn't include the Terlingua Racing Team Mustang because it is not sold as a complete vehicle but as an upgrade package to an owner's V6 Mustang.

Whatever. He made the point that special edition Mustangs are part of the Mustang's success. Without them, there would only be the Mustang models offered by Ford, varying only in the optional equipment that could be ordered on those models from the factory. None of the old ponycars or the old musclecars offered the variety listed in this thread, and all of those are gone except for the recently-resuscitated Dodge Charger. For those who can afford a tuner Mustang, it means higher performance without having to do it yourself. And a tuner Mustang has more resale value than the custom Mustang you built from some catalogs in your garage. Tuner cars are an alternative to what the manufacturer's board of directors (or whomever decides these things) would approve for production.

REally... I don't see what the big deal is. People love the car so they have tons of versions. That is why everyone loves it. There is NO OTHER CAR that warrants such a response from people. We should all be happy about it.

wally05: I know I'm happy about it!

Ford alone offers three racing versions--or maybe it's three with two sub-versions for Europe's FIA GT3 and FIA GT4 classes. Steeda, Kenny Brown, Griggs, and maybe another tuner or two build turnkey roadracing versions, too, and several other tuners have roadracing kits they will install on your S197 if you bring your Mustang--and your checkbook--by their facilities. Roush and several others build dragracing versions for the 1320 crowd.

Mustangs are inexpensive enough and solid enough that they are the natural choice for power upgrades for all these tuner companies--even Viper tuner Jack Hennessey offers several stages of upgrades for the GT500 and Ford GT, as does Steeda, Shelby of course, and one other I read about some months ago but can't recall now.

Some people will build their own, of course, and that's a cost-saving method if you have the tools, the skills, and a place in which to do a build-up.

Next Spring, Ford will build the nine millionth Mustang--would anyone really want them all to be the same?
