Can someone explain this "Tune" thing

How does the SCT2 and BAMA work in conjunction with each other? Doesn't the SCT2 come already programmed? Do you do this yourself? A simple plug in?

The SCT2 is the device aka a handheld tuner kind of like a PDA it has a tune from SCT but companies like BAMA or Brenspeed et al custom program the tuner for your modifications and will help you with any issues that arise.

Tune - To adjust (an engine, for example) for maximum usability or performance.

Domestics get nice compact, handheld reflashers with a few buttons, whereas most imports get a piggyback or standalone (or even a reflash, but the reflash equipment is about as big an average file cabinet).

Ignition timing and Air/Fuel ratio are the two essentials for N/A cars.
