505-hp 7.0L 427 for $65,800. Hopefully this will keep dealers from marking the Shelby GT500 up to the $60,000 range.

Wow, that's a lot less than I was expecting. I was expecting around $75k. The Viper is in serious trouble.

Ditto. It's great news, though.

Probably $10K so you'll see that $75K mark after all........they can actually use the this is a limited model reasoning for this car. A car should never sell for over MSRP from an official dealer. That would be like me walking into Best Buy and them selling a TV for over MSRP. Never going to happen.

I thought GM was giving everybody employee pricing right now, I doubt the dealers will honor this on the Z06, I could be wrong though.

The GM Employee Pricing for Everyone doesn't apply to Corvette.

Not now. I've found no dealer so far that would honor the vendor plans for the '05s. But they were honoring them for the previous years. Perhaps a year or two down the line the circumstances might change.

Yeah that is good news.

I seem to recall having an argument with holderca1 about this a few months ago, something about Vipers being blown away by much cheaper Z06s? Just kidding, well sort of.

Are you sure it was me? I don't remember any arguments about the Viper and Z06. Okay, my memory isn't the greatest, found that topic, but I think we were agreeing on that thread, we both thought the Z06 would outperform the Viper for less money.

Something of this is very clear :

Really this desperate GM or on the verge of to collapse.

First : threatens of dismissal of 25000 personnel (employees )

Second : the Price reduced in all his vehicles, including to his icon.

Third : ( 13 Jun 2005 ) GM is battling dwindling market share in North America and had a $1.1 billion first-quarter loss, its worst result since it teetered near bankruptcy in 1992.

And the Dealers ; they are not going to be capable of being vampires on the GT500 SVT.

I know what he said. It just didn't make any sense whatsoever. Maybe if I stand on my head and read it.

Nope that didn't help either, but it cured my hiccups.

Well he says "his icon." Is he talking about Lutz and the Corvette (I assume)? And if so, George already let us know that the current rebates aren't applying to the Corvette. And they he throws in the GT500, which GM obviously doesn't make. I am sorry, I am just confused.
