Hey everyone,

First post on the site, but have been reading for awhile.

What I am wondering is with the flow potential of the GT heads, could a larger blower be utilized? Whipple makes a 3.3 litre, which is probably too big, but what about something in between? What would fit under the hood?

To me it seems like the 2.2-2.4 litre blowers are restrictive, losing efficiency once they're past 17-18 psi.

I know a TT would be optimum, but if one wants to stick with a positive displacement blower, is there room for a Bigger one?

I know Whipple is releasing a twin screw specifically for the GT500. They mention on their website that it can go up to #30 psi but you would have to reinforce the lower internals on the car.

You would also have to know how to handle 1000+ rwhp. A much bigger issue for most.

I think KB will release a blower (either 2.2 or 2.4, i don't recall) that could be swapped in..

However, if some of the numbers brad has been posting on RWHP of this thing stock are correct, which we have no reason to doubt as he rarely leads us astray, then it looks like simple bolt-ons may well get this motor into the mid 600s on rwhp on the stock blower.

Other info from fourcam300 (i don't know his source or the accuracy thereof but others seem to think he is very credible and reliable) also suggests that you dont wanty to get much past mid 600s on the rwhp without replacing the internals anyway.

As such, my point is that if all of this is true, there does not seem to be much need to replace the blower unless you for some reason need more than ~640 rwhp AND want to rebuild the bottom end...

But i'm no expert...these are just my impressions based on recent info seen

Who makes the blower used on the Ford GT? With that being practically the same engine, don't you think that could be swapped onto there too?
