Thumbs down

Obviously the 3D Carbon Bodykit is pretty smokin, otherwise Ford wouldn't have chosen it best of show.

They supply the 10 piece kit (without wing), or the 11 piece kit (with wing).
But I just noticed that nowhere does it state that the vented hood comes with the kit!

Am I wrong here?

What's the dealeo???

It doesn't look like it's in the kit. I like the "Boy Racer Hood" a lot too. The sites says that the suggested retail is looking like $850 and:

"Currently we are evaluating the necessary tooling requirements to produce the Hood. Check back for further updates."

So, they don't appear to be ready for production. The kit is.

Arrrrrgh!!!! :bang:

So all together (when they do produce the hood) we're looking at $2,450 retail for the whole Boy Racer effect? Bummer!

Maybe I'll go with the Street Scene body kit with the Boy Racer Hood (once it becomes available), then it'll only set me back $1,850!

At any rate, I'll wait and see what other kits will be making their debut in the next 6-9 months whilst I save some coin!!!

I just wish it didn't need the flares -- won't that adds a LOT to paint and installation costs?

no, most places will pre fit, remove, paint, then fit the body kit. the flares are one of the easier pieces so installation time shouldn't be hurt too much. And when you are painting they shouldn't charge you much more to do the flares cause it all gets done at the same time.
