Has CS kicked Ford in the ya-hoo by releasing a 500 horsepower 06' Shelby ?

I don't think it'll influence the Ford built shelby. The GT-500 will be factory built, with a warranty not a "pimped" Mustang

Agreed! Especially the V8 car with it's Bling-bling, good for southern climes-only wheels. I am very surprised that Ol' Shel would lend his name to cars so overly laden with-well...crap!

I think the performance add ons are just fine though.

I doubt Shelby is building anything other than his porfolio. I am willing to bet my virginity on the probability Shelby is selling his name and building his bank account, nothing more.

I don't understand how most tuners have to make their Mustangs look outrageously bling bling. The 20" wheels, the Boeing rear spoilers, the snowplow front bumpers, they stink. They are trying too hard to match the import tuners.

Ford has a class act with Mustang and the GT500 which the tuners can't match.

I agree. Plus, the fact that he's only building 25. I do like the ghost stripes, though...

I'll take a "piece" of that.

Exactly.

"Bling bling" Mustangs aren't Mustangs anymore. It's like they're bitten by the pimp vampire and turned into "Sgnatsum."

The real question would be since Shelby is lending his name to many projects, will this take some the supposed future value of the car away.
I personnally will not be buying this car for any future collectors value. I want one to drive. However, i feel there will be many car collectors buying this car just because it has Shelby's name on it.

Well said as always. I couldn't agree more, the only thing Shelby is doing is padding his "assets"
