I looked and looked but was surprised not to find this already posted somewhere, maybe i didn't look in the right places. Anyways, for those of you who just ain't satisfied with the GT500, here's another option, although it still has a live axle. They only plan to sell 25 of them.

These are awesome cars. But is it me or do these seem a little over priced? I would much rather spend an additional 25K and get a Ford GT.

The price for the FR500C is reasonable, there will be only 50 of them sold.

It is a hand built turn key race car. The Ford GT is a street car.

The reason I say it's a little expensive is, they take a Mustang, strip it down, add a Cammer motor at only 390/hp, install a roll bar, go thrun the suspension a bit, lower it. i don't know but I think I can do that for a lot less. Think about it!

There is a lot more done to the FR-500C than you are thinking. The suspension is adjustable, full roll cage not just a roll bar, racing trannie, fuel cell, race wheels, racing radiator, etc., etc., etc. I'm sure they are also trying to get back some of the development cost in tuning the FR-500C. Yes you could do the same thing for a lot less if you had the proper equipment and consider your time worthless. Go back and watch the TV show that shows them building the FR500C. The FR-500C is not a weekend mechanic hack job, it is a fully developed turn key, race winning car.

The R50 Cammer, race engine puts out a lot more than 390 HP. You're confusing it with the street cammer that FRPP sells. The R50 has all the real go fast parts in it.
