S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Art

Welp I recently bought stalker.. which has turned into a very great game. I have this crazy fixation with Chernobyl so this game was a natural fit.
So I decided to do a little photo-combo-montage-action-fu and come up with something stalkerish..this is still a WIP but it's done with just crap i found on google images..no clue who owns the originals but oh well I'm not selling to so there you are

Cool game, it has about a bazillion different endings to it, depending on how you go through the game. I enjoyed it alot and from what I understand they are working on a prequel to the game for STALKER II.

While not the same caliber (no pun intended), Timeshift is a pretty good game as well, not to mention the excellent COD4

Speaking of STALKER and Pripyat in general, I bumped into a website run by a girl that tours the area on her bike, it was a neat if disturbing site with alot of pictures and some local media shot during the reactor failure. Worst part about Chernobyl, was the cliche'd saying about "Lowest bidder strikes again", IIRC correctly, they saved 30% on building costs with the powerplant by constructing only one containment area rather than the two that most nuke plants are built with. Had they done that, Chernobly would have been a footnote like 3 Mile Island instead of the posterboy for why nuclear powerplants can be so bad.

Doug--just spent the last hour browsing thru her site...

...that's got to be the must facinating, but spooky hour I've spent in a long time.

Having grown up less than 10 miles for 3 Mile Island, (use to go fishing just down river from the cooling towers), her site really got my attention.
I was away in college when the accident happened, but my parents had to deal with it.

Poor joke I know but I couldn't resist...

Hey Rich--as kids we had a hard time playing flashlight tag 'cause we all
"glowed" at night.

Doug--my kids having been comparing buildings/locations in "Call to Duty 4" with her photos.
They have found several matches--very spooky.
We even went to GoogleEarth to look at satelite imagery of the area.
