Lunar eclipse

I am still a noob when it comes to photography. During the lunar eclipse I decided to mount my 100-400mm lens onto the tripod and take some shots. I would have sat out there and tried to take more shots but it was -20 degrees and I was freezing my butt off. Not to mention I lost the feeling in my trigger finger.

This is what I ended up with.

Nice work. Like that second one on the top row with the shadow just partially covering the moon

Cool. What kind of camera do you have? For most SLR's, they make a wired remote, so you can keep your hand warm in your pocket and snap the pictures

I have the Canon Digital Rebel XTi. I have been looking at getting a remote for this thing. For the lunar pics, I just used the built in timer to avoid camera shake. Now that I got my new macbook pro, the next time I do this I'll just set the camera outsite and connect it to the laptop. That way I can stay indoors and control the camera.
