Thats a great series. Give us details on the shot as to how you did the bulb and all, looks like you maybe cut the glass itself off from around it?

To remove the glass I use a small glass cutter and go around the bulb near the base, after I go around it a couple of times I use something (usally a screwdriver) to knock the glass off.

The setup (pictured below) is pretty simple.


The flash is setup to the side facing strait up, with a piece of white foam board placed just above the frame to bounce the light back down onto the smoke.
