Yeah, the older one was floated, it was a genuine franken-rifle. On paper, it should have blown up or disintegrated before I finally sold it, but I put 15,000 rounds of cheap russian ammo through it with no failures...all in a year. It was heavy as hell, but was a laser if I was quick enough on the trigger.

 

I'm applying for it. My dad worked with our county sheriff for a bit, so I'm hoping he might be able to push it through. There's only 165 people in our entire county that have concealed permits. Pretty much judges and main supporters of the sheriff's agenda. That being said, there was a really important ruling in the lower courts last week, regarding the need to prove "cause" when applying for CCW in CA. You have to prove your life is in imminent danger to get approved.
