Very nice. What do you plan to put in it? Also make sure you let it cycle for a couple weeks before you add fish. The ammonia spikes will only harm your fish while the tank is stabilizing.

I've actually been meaning to start a thread for fish tanks. I have 2 55s running currently. I want to set my hex up for an eel short term. However over the next couple years, when I build my house, ill have a 5000 or so gal tank built in it.

I've been wanting to get mine set up and running again, been quite a few years. I've got a 50ish gal hex, but I need to get a bunch of stuff to get it going again. Gave a bunch of stuff away to people while it was down. Got to get a new filter setup, power heads, undergravel filter, etc.

Cool to see some interest in aquariums here! I've got 2 60s in my house right now. This is actually my side business/hobby. I build ponds/ tanks all over the DMV

Yea may be ok. Typically, even with smaller tanks, its a couple weeks. I let mine cycle for a month or so. You need to get a good bacteria colony going so they eat up all the ammonia.
