Calling all DSLR users...Post your latest pictures in here.

I have been posting in a thread with a similar name on another forum and thought that I would start one here too. Hopefully we can share some tips, tricks, techniques and such to help each other get better at taking pictures. Here is what I took today with my Canon T5i.

I have a Canon Rebel XT and now travel with a Google Nexus 7 2013 tablet and leave my laptop at home. I had not been able to download images from my Canon to my N7, but I could do so from my Kodak zi8 movie camera connecting the two devices with a USB OTG cable. The Kodak uses an SD card while the Canon uses a Compact Flash card. I bought a Compact Flash to SD adapter for my Canon. Now I can pull the adapter from my Canon, remove the SD card and insert it into my Kodak, and download images to my N7. My N7 has a great photo editor, so I can make any changes necessary and upload images to my PhotoBucket account and post them on this forum.

I opted to avoid buying a compact flash USB card reader because not all of them would work with my N7 and they don't seem to hold up very well.

That sounds like an awful lot of work. I am using ACDSee Pro 7 to edit my pictures. It's working rather well and I can get the looks I want with it so far.

It's a price I'm willing to pay to be able to travel with a 7" tablet rather than a several pound and much larger laptop. There may be an app that would allow me to connect my DSLR to my tablet, but I haven't found one yet.

Good points. I'm used to carrying my laptop with me when I'm traveling so it' pretty normal for me. I'm sure that there is an app that exists that will let you do that. I'm sure there is a card reader of some sort you can connect via bluetooth or something.

Okay, here is an effects shot of my '91 Morgan which is now long gone.

It was shot with a Canon Digital Rebel XT with an 18-55 lens set at f22, ISO 200, 1/20 sec. The lens was zoomed as the shot was taken, resulting in the odd blur lines.

That's the whole point. The way I see it is that the more you use that camera you spent all that hard earned money on the more you will be reminded of why you spent it in the first place.
