Just talked to Patty Vanek at Explorer Express. My card just got billed and my intercooler kit will be shipped out tomorrow

Just so I'm on the same page...is it the same as a normal X-Charger, but with an intercooler?

BTW Torch Vert, your car looks amazing!

Thanks, and yes, the Xtreme is the normal X-charger with an intercooler as well as a tune to take advantage of the lower air temps coming out of the blower.

Just a followup: Got my kit, got it installed and it's an amazingly good upgrade. You have to watch the added HP and TQ so you don't end up starring in one of those "******* crashes Mustang" videos on Youtube though

Here's the kit as it's delivered, an "in progress" shot, as well as how the underhood looks after the install (Note: I changed the supplied tank arrangement for compatibility with my FR intake. "stock" uses the same reservoir bottle as the GT500. I'll dress up the hoses later):

Before the I/C I was at 300 rwhp/352 rwtq. This is more, quite a bit more, but until I get it on a dyno, I'd just be guessing at numbers.

We should have plenty on numbers by Saturday. I'm getting a custom tune Sat morning, and a bunch of the west coast guys are doing a combined install party and dyno tune session that day as well.

Numbers from Sat:

Most of the CA guys were right around 300HP (I had the benefit of 93 octane vs the 91 they were running, and I had a VERY experienced and meticulous Ford tuner)

Seems Marcello is up to something....

My fantasy wish would be he's got his hands on an X-Charger so he can design some killer billet pulleys for SHR to offer...

LOL - my fantasy would be that we wouldn't have flung a 45 Lb part today out of the chuck jaws tearing up the jaws, the part, and of course knocking our live turret out of alignment

And of course, the film crews will be at the shop in the morning, wondering what happened !

On the pulleys though - who knows. Anything we do like that will be well after we have had a chance to play with the setup a bit first, and in conjunction with what E.E. thinks is best for the package - really have no desire to over-rev a new supercharger on the first day!

Wow this thing is amazing - I have gone from disliking our 2010 car to loving it in just basically a weekend's worth of work.. Haven't had but 30 or so miles on it since we had to take it to SEMA and I didn't want anything to happen to it prior, but now that we're back from the show, I think the smiles are really about to start.

Will follow up more as we get caught back up from the show - driving the rig round-trip across country takes a bit of a beating on you

Congrats on getting it done and to the show.

I think I can assure you that you're right about the smiles, it was weeks before my face stopped hurting from grinning all the time after I installed mine,
