V6IN8R on the road again
after a month or 2, took the car into a trans shop in sprng mo. called ACE transmission. first class operation and people. they usually just swap out the trans (with a hundred+ on the shelf) and its a 1 day job but with mine, they couldnt for some reason so they re built mine which i was glad anyway to have my own trans. they also re build the torque converters at the same time for every trans rebuild and run them on a in house trans dyno for testing.
so the bottom line was the o.d. spregg, hub, planet and input shaft was shot. they also bore the casing and install sleeves for the servos. the owner agreed to bump my stall speed up a couple hundred on the TQ and they installed a small mishimoto cooler i got from am last year at the same time. so the car is really running good again, better than ever really with a little more spunk on takeoffs and shifting and i am happy as ****
of course the cost was 2 grand.

the owner of the trans shop said my mileage would go down from the extra stall, but after a couple days now, its still holding at 22 mpg around town, so not too bad.
