A TRULY SAD DAY

i researched my super charger. for months on end. picked out the one I wanted. Nice Vortech setup. Allows me to continue to use my CDC Shaker with no issues. Wife gave it the green light, all ready to order. Then she comes back from the dentist with my eldest. Dentist sends him to orthodontist. Orthodontist says he needs braces. There goes $7,000 right out the window. Naturally the supercharger followed it out the window.

Does anyone or has anyone attached their child and their child's braces to the intake to increase horsepower? I have the CDC Shaker so I could remove the shaker if necessary to allow for the rest of the child to pass through the hood. I'd appreciate the results of any dyno pulls with this setup.

Thank you.

$7k for braces is ridonkulous.

I'd get a second quote.

We recently paid $3600 and $4200 each for our kids.

That's because you got redneck braces. You got metal ones didn't you, but 7000 is a little high. Around 5000 is the norm around here, but there are some variables in braces pricing.

Redneck braces? Yeah they were metal. Didn't know that was redneck. I thought it was just bein smart when the others cost more for the same result.

If you really cared, you would have gotten them Invisalign :Baller: or at least ceramic. same result but less embarrassment. LOL

Well I could have just left them with the ****ty teeth they had. That's what I told them at first. But since the bad teeth were my fault, DNA, I went ahead and got the redneck grills.

You know Joe, I don't think kids are too worried about metal braces anymore. Of course people are a lot more superficial in Cali I guess. My little monsters are getting the metal ones in a couple years and I really don't see the problem.

Some redwood braces would be cool on false teeth. Or maybe a fine teak.
