I dont think that a hard, daily driven manual could handle that day in and day out. Your prolly talking more upgrades down the road, but when it breaks its a nice reason to upgrade I guess. The automatic should handle it fine.

So with a Stage II alone that's 2 seconds, making us a real solid 13 sec car. Now with the benefits of real headers and 2 1/2 duals, I bet it wouldn't be hard to dip in the 12's. Someone needs to try this, although knowing our drivtrain is our weak link who knows how fast people will be jumping at it.

SO... Is anyone thinking of buying this ProCharger?
I am a bit tempted,... but I want to see a full review before I spend 4Gs on something like this.

Yeah... I'm very tempted also... and waiting for some reviews...
I did talk to my tuner today... he said he stopped dealing ProCharger back in mid-90s due to poor quality of components and lack of tech support... Also called Vortech... they are about 3 or 4 months before they release a product... So when you guys buy your ProChargers make sure you post some reviews!!! LOL!!!

The supercharger is going to make more reliable power I think. Plus you dont have to keep going to the trouble of filling and refilling it, and you always have the power on command, now just at the track etc when you can afford a shot of nos.
With gears and T-lok and tune our cars are running high 14s.. so its safe to say this puts us solidly into the 12s. Id bet with slicks and a p&p could be pushing 11s.
The potential of this engine just got whole whole lot more ineteresting.

Well powerhouses rear end blew up on what might have been a high 11 second run, so with just this supercharger alone, we are probably at if not past the point of reliable HP on our drivetrain.
although, it is pretty cool, i would rather have a roots/screw type blower.

Well, i've personally never owned a vehicle with a S/C. My understanding is a roots type is the boost is there earlier (1800RPM vs 4000) but there are of course other drawbacks... I do like the idea of early boost... good thing i've got a few months to sort through all of this!! LOL!
