THe only v6 i've seen dyno'ed with mods was a manual v6, CAI, and tune, and i believe it was at like 198 or 199. Before the tune and cai it was at 191... leads me to believe that either the CAI dont do much, or the tune dont do much, cuz i cant rationalize spending $500+ on 8 horsepower.

I have a V6 Auto HP at wheels before tune and CAI was 175... After tune was 195. I gained about 20 HP.... made a big difference overall.

I think I'm right in saying the horsepower figure from Ford is for HP at the Flywheel, i.e. the engine not the rear wheels. The dyno figures quoted were for HP at the rear wheels.

the lower numbers come from the loss of hp it takes to turn the transmission and rear diff... FYI when cars from the 60's were givin hp ratings they were done with just the engine like today but they ran no accessories (water pump, Ac, alternater, etc.) thats why the hp #'s then were nice and high but the cars were not as fast as ours today with less hp, + todays tires help alot with 1/4 times compaired to back then
