I've noticed that all the V6 Mustangs I've seen have a front license plate notch, while the GT's don't. What is Ford's thinking behind this? Is it just my geographical area or has anyone seen a V6 without the notch? Thx

All the V6 front bumpers have the same notch - even the Ponies.

I think it is because they realized the front end of the V6 looked better than that of the GT and had to do something to fix that. Seriously, I don't know why, but I wish it wasn't there.

exactly, it's not like they would lose money through using a different mold from the start.
But here in CA you need to have the front plates on, so It doesn't bother me that much
