Nope, haven't gotten it done. I'm waiting on the final price of the kit as well as the labor rates my service department will charge to install the kit.

Oh, and I'm dirt poor at the moment so I can only drool.

That is sweet but I'd want the Bullitt mufflers put on mine.

If you look at the picture it shows the CAI box that the Bullitt has but when you click on the link for the CAI that is in the description it takes you to the Stainless Steel one for the V6.

I have no interest in the SS one as it really isn't any different than ones you can but for less that are not FR.

I have a call out to a few people that might be able to help me on this. I'll see what I hear from them.

I have gotten the shift gear that came from the Bullitt. I'll attach a picture.

Sweet! I wonder if the intake hose that goes from the intake box to the Engine is the same or different than the stock one? I just ordered the Bullitt CAI box with the filter. If you have any info send me a message. I also found out that when my mustang was built they were already using the new hood liner so mine should work perfectly with the Bullitt intake box. This will be a test so I hope it goes well. I'll post pictures after I get it and put it in.

I talked to Kevin today and he wasn't sure if it would fit on the stock hose but he said that it should work with my hood liner since it was the newer one they they use on the Bullitt. I bought the Bullitt strut brace bar from him today. I'll post pics when I get it installed. So I should have a few new photos later next week.

I got it from eBay here is the link:

I did the make an offer feature and they counter offered at $225 for the airbox with filter. It was cheeper than the hot sheet that Kevin sent out. When I was talking with Kevin he said that he hasn't looked at the pricing for a while, but I already had it purchased so I didn't want to see what price he could give. Just in case it was cheeper than what I paid. $225 was the cheapest I have seen so I went with it. I originally offered $215 so I thought this was fair. It still cost $20 for shipping.

I will keep everyone posted. If this works I'm sure everyone would be happy to get this done!

Talking Got it today

Alright, I got the CAI today and in this frigid Chi-town weather, I swapped out my air box and put this one in. First thing is that the stock hose will not fit over the connector for the CAI. It does fit inside though. I will have to see if the Ford Racing hose is available for purchase by itself. I received a 2008 Ford Racing catalog with the CAI so I have some info on the one from Ford Racing kit.

The CAI is only attached by the back bolt right now. It has a groove for another bolt in the front but the bolt that is right below it on my car isn't long enough to attach it there.

I took it for a spin but because I haven't gotten it tuned I don't believe I will notice much. When I arrived home I checked the hose and it was still attached. I didn't get the speed up there too much as the fastest I got it to was about 80 for about a 1/4 mile.

Tomorrow I have school so I will be taking the expressway and I will be traveling at a higher speed for a longer time. I'll keep you all posted. I'm still waiting to hear from Doug from BamaChips to see if he could help with the tune.

Sorry about the pictures I haven't been able to crop them so they are just thumbnails.
